A Canadian Odyssey
This series was developed to position Scor Bikes, a division of the BMC Group, as a fun-loving enduro-adjacent mountain bike brand. The intention was to ensure that potential customers would see that Scor supported non-professional riders enjoying the sport in the most awe inspiring locations. Scor’s brand philosophy is to “Play the Mountains”, and the bikes are designed to be maneuverable and enjoyable to ride for anyone, not just the fastest racers.
To hit the vibe we needed, we brought Scor’s team riders from Europe to Canada’s West Coast, which is full of iconic trails and locations. The final deliverables were four short films, each showcasing a different location and vibe, campaign copy that upheld the vision of the series, and photography to match the final assets. The production team was as follows, with yours truly wearing many hats, from lead producer to cinematographer, editor, and copywriter. Scor hosted the content via a feature on their website, and partnered with Pinkbike.com and other mountain bike publications to share the copy and photography that we created along the way. The series has over 870k views on their Youtube, and was deemed a huge success internally, being used as a standard going forward in how the brand operates campaigns.
